Steel Shire Design builds software for energy infrastructure teams. It covers right-of-way, GIS mapping, construction and pipe tracking. For more than a decade, it grew on referrals alone. Ahead of launching Steel Nexus, its AI platform, it needed a brand and website that could win cold buyers. We refreshed the brand, redesigned the site and rebuilt it in Webflow.
A website that made Steel Shire Design look smaller than they actually are
Steel Shire has served teams at Enbridge and Energy Transfer for years. Every new deal came through a referral, so the website never had to work. Then Steel Nexus gave them a launch date and a reason to sell beyond referrals.
The old WordPress site was outdated, with no analytics and no proof points. The team couldn’t even log in. The green-led brand read as legacy software, not an AI platform.
A brand built for the field

A site built around how infrastructure projects run
We started with discovery, building on one of the most thorough briefs we’ve received. We mapped the sitemap to the infrastructure project lifecycle, not the product list. Two visual directions led to a refreshed brand system and a full guideline in Figma.
Then we designed and built a scalable website in Webflow. A shared product template keeps every product page consistent. We migrated from WordPress with SEO redirects. We set up conversion tracking and trained Steel Shire’s team to run the site.
